Stainless Steel Carbonators

The Carbonator is basically a stainless steel pipe of dimensions 8” diameter and 3.5 feet height. It is fed water by a stainless steel Triplex pump and Co2 through a Pressure Regulating Valve. The whole assembly is mounted on a cast iron stand & base. The description of each part is as follows:

  • The Carbonator pipe is made of SS 304 grade. Water is fed from the pump into the top of the carbonator through a SS pipe set and a non-return valve. Co2 is fed into the carbonator from the bottom through a Pressure Regulating Valve. Inside the carbonator is an SS shower, which sprays the water and ensures a good mix with Co2. Then there are a series of SS plates, which have holes in them. These effectively break up the water and facilitate further mixing. A gauge glass tube is provided to check the level of soda in the tank. The soda is now ready to be taken from a pipe at the bottom of the carbonator to the filling station.
  • The contact parts of Triplex pump are made of a stainless steel and a 1 HP Iph/IIIph 1440 RPM motor drives it. The pump has a capacity of about 900 liters per hour. The pump consists of a Dampener and an overflow regulator to ensure that the pump is not damaged when output pressure increases beyond its pumping capacity.
  • The Pressure Regulating Valve ensures that the Co2 is fed at a constant pressure into the carbonator. It has a safety release valve.
  • The Cast Iron stand & base holds all the above three. It has holes to facilitate its foundation on the ground.

Large Size Carbonator:

The Carbonator is basically a stainless steel pipe of dimensions 12” diameter and 5 feet height. It is fed water by a stainless steel Triplex pump and Co2 through a Pressure Regulating Valve. The whole assembly is mounted on a cast iron base. The description of each part is as follows:   

  • The Carbonator pipe is made of SS 304 grade. It is clad with a temperature protection foam over which is an aluminum sheet. Water is fed from the pump into the top of the carbonator through a SS pipe set and a non-return valve. Co2 is fed into the carbonator from the bottom through a Pressure Regulating Valve. Inside the carbonator is an SS shower, which sprays the water and ensures a good mix with Co2. Then there are a series of SS plates, which have holes in them. These effectively break up the water and facilitate further mixing. A gauge glass tube is provided to check the level of soda in the tank. The soda is now ready to be taken from a pipe at the bottom of the carbonator to the filling station.

Brushing Unit

The Brushing unit is used for brush cleaning bottles. It is assembled on a stainless steel base plate with a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) cover. This cover protects a ¼ HP I Phase 230 V 50 Hz motor. The motor is connected to two stainless steel shafts with pullies and V-belt. This unit must be mounted on the center of a cement/stainless steel/plastic tank of height 2.5 –3 feet. The size of the tank depends on the space availability and the number of bottles to be washed. The brushing unit thus mounted has two brushes extending on one side and two brushes on the other. Therefore two people standing on opposite sides on the tank can at once clean 4 bottles.

Once the bottles are brought back from the market, they are kept soaked in another tank containing water and caustic soda for about one hour. This ensures that all dirt particles are loosened. The bottles are now ready to be brushed. There are two types of brushes mounted on the unit. One long brush cleans the inside of the bottles and at the same time another brush cleans the mouth of the bottle where there is generally rust formation due to crown corks. Two persons can wash approximately 8-12 bottles per minute. This depends on the dexterity of the workers and dirtiness of the bottles. After the brushing the bottles can be rinsed with plain water with the help of Rinser.

The Maintenance of the machine consists of greasing, V belt tightening whenever required and general cleaning.

We are the manufacturers of bottle rinser which ensure that cleaning of bottle is done in proper manner. The rinser consists of a stainless steel pipe and tray and is fitted on top of a cement, stainless steel or plastic tank. Water jets into each of the bottle, thus rinsing dust particles and soap water. The unit is manufactured using premium grade raw material and require very little maintenance. We also offer customization facility to meet the specific requirements of our clients.

The Rinser is available for 12 or 24 bottles.


  • It can be fitted on top of a cement/stainless steel/plastic tank.
  • The Rinser consists of a Stainless Steel pipe and tray.
  • The Rinser is connected to a water source like overhead tank. The ball valve on the machine is in closed position. 12/24 Bottles are kept up side down in the 12/24 Rubber cups provided. Then the ball valve is opened. Water jets into each of the bottles. The bottles are thus rinsed of dust particles or soap water, the rinsed water falls back into the tank and can be filtered and re-pumped. Approximately 24/48 bottles can be rinsed per minute.
  • If there is no overhead tank, the rinser can be supplied with a pump.
  • The pump need not be switched on & off every time the bottles are changed. A by pass system with a non-return valve ensures that the pump does not get overloaded.
  • This unit requires very little maintenance.

Soda And Soft Drink Making Machine for Glass Bottles

The Machine is a one man Factory for making Soda and Soft drinks. Approximately 5000 bottles can be made in a shift of 8 hours. It consists of the following main components:

Pump :
It is a single acting piston pump with a capacity to pump approx. 450 liters per minute. The pump is worked by the pully, which in turn is connected to a 1 HP motor. The pumped water is fed into the carbonator through a series of Non-return valves. The fixed pumping speed ensures that the proper quantity of water is fed to the carbonator and in turn the carbonating ratio between water and Co2 is maintained.

Pressure Regulating Valve : The PRV ensures that a fixed pressure of Co2 is fed into the carbonator. In effect it is the heart of the machine and its maintenance and normal functioning is vital to the machine and quality of drink. The PRV can be adjusted for various pressures according to the soda/soft drink being made.

Carbonator :
The Carbonator tank is made of stainless steel and houses a shower and series of SS plates. Gas and water are mixed in the tank. The shower and special SS plates inside ensure that the water passing through it is saturated thoroughly thereby ensuring optimum carbonation.

Filling head :
First a crown cork is fixed inside the head. Then a bottle is kept on the bottle table. On lifting of a lever, soda flows into the bottle through a filling valve. To eliminate the air inside the bottle, a snifting valve is provided. Thus when the bottle is being filled, the air is eliminated through the snift valve. Due to this, some amount of soda also flows out through the snift valve. This is unavoidable. When the bottle is full, the lever is released and the foot pedal pressed for capping the bottle. The bottle is then removed and the next crown cork and bottle are kept and the whole process is repeated.

Stand :
This is the main pillar of the machine. The carbonator, pump, filling head and motor are all fitted onto it. The stand is made of Cast Iron thus ensuring a long life.

Motor : The motor is 1 HP either single phase or thee phase. This is a 960-RPM motor. This RPM ensures that a fixed quantity of water is pumped into the carbonator ensuring optimum carbonation.

To make Soft drinks :
The syrup concentrate is previously filled into the bottle. The bottle is then kept on the machine and soda filled. The Force with which the soda flows into the bottle (since soda is flowing from a higher pressure inside the carbonator to the atmospheric pressure of the bottle) ensures that the previously filled syrup mixes with the soda and the soft drink is ready. This method of making soft drink is called Post mix system.

The “MGI” Counter Pressure Filler System is a unique Pneumatically operated one man factory for manufacturing Soda / Soft drinks in any size of PET / Glass bottles. The system is available with 2 or 4 filling heads.

Pump, Carbonator & Regulator

It Consists of a motor driven double acting high efficiency pump feeding a stainless steel carbonator designed for better gas water mixing. Special internal construction inside the Carbonator ensures that the water passing through it is saturated automatically. A regulator is provided to constantly monitor the pressure of Co2 gas, ensuing uniformity in the quality of carbonated water. It also protects the carbonator from high pressure. A safety valve on the regulator releases excess pressure developed into the atmosphere.

Counter Pressure Filler Tank

The soda flows from Carbonator to Counter Pressure Filler Tank. The filler tank is provided with counter pressure valves and arrangement for holding 2/4 bottles at a time. The bottles are kept manually and the valves are operated pneumatically. The bottles fill up only to a fixed level and do not overflow. After the bottles are full, they are removed and capped.

We manufacture table mounted additional filler unit for pet bottles that is connected with main machine with the help of copper or stainless steel pipe. The machine is fabricated using superior quality raw material as per the requirement of industry. All the spares are generally same as that of main machine and require very low maintenance. Our team of quality controllers check the range on various quality parameters to ensure the defect free end product. Customization is also provided as per the specifications detailed by client.

  • This table-mounted unit is additional filler used for filling soda in PET bottles.
  • This unit must be connected to the main “MGI” Soda/Soft Drink Machine with the help of copper/stainless steel pipe.
  • It can be kept at a distance of about 5-6 feet away from the main machine.
  • PET bottles of size 250 ml to 1500 ml can be used. No mounting adjustments are required.
  • The bottle is placed on the bottle holding plate and the bottom lever pressed. The bottle mouth thus goes into the filling head.
  • Then the filling valve lever is pressed and soda starts flowing into the bottle.
  • At the time of filling some amount of gas & soda and air trapped inside the bottle are released from the snift valve. This wastage cannot be avoided but can be controlled by slow filling of soda.
  • This method of filling being direct i.e. from the high-pressure carbonator directly to the atmospheric pressure inside the bottle, filling speed is very slow and some amount of carbonation is wasted. Thus the quality of soda is also less.
  • The small time manufacturers who may want to take out very less production and may want to check the initial market movement of soda/soft drinks in PET bottles generally use this unit.
  • The machine requires very little maintenance and generally all spares/washers are the same as those of the main machine.
